[underlined] TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN [/underlined]
IT IS CONFIRMED that according to Departmental Records, the above named officer enlisted as 1549105 Aircraftman 2nd Class in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve on 20th October 1941. Promoted to Leading Aircraftman, he was discharged on appointment to a commission 10 February 1944.
Appointed to an Emergency Commission as Pilot Officer on probation in the General Duties Branch of the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve on 11 February 1944. Promoted Flying Officer (War Substantive) 11 August 1944 and confirmed in appointment.
He was released from the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve on 1 August 1945.
Last day of Paid Service was 22 August 1945.
Nothing of an adverse nature is recorded against him.
