206 Squadron spent the war serving in Coastal Command in anti-shipping and anti-submarine roles. Aircraft used included Ansons, Hudsons, B-17s and B-24s. It had spells based in Northern Ireland, Scotland the Azores as well as in Cornwall at RAF St Eval.
