CAMARA OPERATORS. REMINDERS.
1. BEFORE FLIGHT
(a) Check correct number of magazines are carried.
(b) Check camera window is clean.
(c) Check suction pipe is attached.
(d) Check dark slide is outt. [sic]
(e) Operate camera for single exposure and check Type 35 control. Watch mag. spindles. [sic]
(f) Note number of exposures taken, (counter should read 4. [sic]
(g) Correct exposure set on camera.
2. WHEN AIRBORNE
(a) Operate camera for single exposure and check Type 35 control.
3. ON RUNNING UP TO COMMENCE PHOTOGRAPHY.
On instructions from navigator.
(a) Level Camera.
(b) Set correct drift.
(c) Set correct time interval.
(d) Turn camera ON.
4. DURING RUNS.
(a) Level camera as necessary between exposures.
(b) Watch mag. (magazine) spindles are rotating.
(c) Correct drift between exposures as instructed by Navigator.
5. ON COMPLETION OF RUN.
(a) Turn off camera on instructions from Navigator.
[deleted] (b) Place in slide and take single exosure [sic]. [/deleted]
(c) Note number of exposures taken.
6. BEFORE COMMENCING RECIPROCAL RUN.
On instructions from Navigator.
(a) Set correct drift.
(b) Set correct time interval.
(c) [underlined] Remove slide. [/underlined]
7. CHANGING MAGAZINES.
(a) Place in slide.
(b) If mag. not completed take 3 single exposures.
(c) Remove suction pipe.
(d) Remove magazine.
(e) Place new magazine in position.
(f) Remove suction pipe.
(g) REMOVE SLIDE.
8. ON COMPLETION OF RUN.
(a) Leave magazine on camera.
(b) Do not replace slide.
(c) Complete Reccy Report.
Note book and pencil should be carried to note number of runs; numbers of exposures per run, times of photography, weather conditions; [sic]and any other information needed to complete photographic Reccy Report.
Also a watch with a second hand should be carried.
