My dearest Mary I am feeling that I should love to have a note from you & hope that there will be one at Istanbul when I get back there. Things move very slowly here & I have to wait until Saturday to see the Chief technical man here. He is away in another part of the country until Friday night. This means that I shall not be back at Istanbul until Sunday which is a nuisance. This business is taking so much time that I shall want to rush home as soon as it is finished. I wish that you were here darling, I think you’d like it altho’ theres[sic] nothing to do for amusement. love Roy.
