Dear Lewis
Congratulation’s dear we were so pleased to hear your W.O had come through so soon. Dad as [sic] been into town today to try and get you the badges’s [sic] he could not get them any where, but at one of the place’s they were expecting them by post & so they were going to save Dad six so he is going down in the morning if he gets them I will put them in the laundry I am sending

it off in the morning. Will you have to wait for your uniform or do you get it straight away we hope you do.
Harold came over last night he had been up to the A.T.C. [indecipherable word] it wasnt his flights night stay a good while then went up to Auntie Clara’s for the bike he as [sic] got it whilst his leave is up. he told us about the train anyway we were more than please [sic] to know you got in in time was anyone else late
I am going over to Mrs Stevenson tomorrow night Dad is busy gardening up Bocking Lane tonight
