Dear Lewis
Here’s another week gone since I wrote you, but I’m afraid there is very little news to tell this week, we are still waiting for your mail to arrive just speed it up abite [sic] it will be a month on Wedsday since we got your air mail. Hats called just after I had wrote you last Sunday been to the church parade I think I told you in my last letter they was having one that morning have got their own band too now some A.T.C. he had receive your letter the previous week with the advice in re flying. he told us Dick Hay had been in a lorry crash, but I think it was only bruises he got, but one

of the other had concusson [sic] and was still in hospital. I think I told you last week Dad was after an alotment [sic] well he got one last Tuesday. its a nice garden too it is at the back of those concrete houses down Queen Mary Rd come’s down to the back of about the fifth house down on the left hand side, [deleted] we [/deleted] Dad was busy yesterday buying new spade seeds etc he goes to every day so you can guess we shall have a grand garden before the summers out. Radishes are 1/- a bunch and lettuce 10d a root of about six leave’s so we are going to wait while our [inserted] own [/inserted] come’s up. (they are not in yet the weather a bite to cold.)
Dad starts his holidays next Sunday so he is going to spend them gardening. I want the stair case decorating so I tell him it will give him a change for a day. you know what they say a change as good as a rest some rest.
Well dear how are you getting a along now the time is passing on quick now isnt

it we are looking forward to the time when you will be home, it seem’s age’s since we saw you, Dad and I met Mr Webster yesterday his boy is flying night and day now in England having a refresher course as its 5 month since he did any he wanted to know how you was he as [sic] been off work ill [deleted] . [/deleted] a fortnight.
We are expecting Jim and his bride down here in about three week 19th May his leave is due so you bet we are going to be busy. I met Mrs Haseldine yesterday norman is under canvas been under three week, but didnt like it was to [sic] cold he was waiting to be posted Jim Richinson goes in three week in th [sic] Tank Corps
I think there is very little more news this time dear Sidney sat for his exsams [sic] last Thursday so we are waiting for the results now in June. All send you Best wishes and love from Dad Renee & Sidney.
