Dear Mam & Dad,
Things have been pretty quiet here and we have not done much flying at all. The weather is pretty bad and according to the papers north Lincs is the coldest place in England and it does not take much believing.
I was very sorry to hear we did not get the house, I thought the reason you had not written was because you were removing. Still I guess there will be other houses.
As we have not been flying we have had quite a few evenings
[page break]
in Grimsby and last Wednesday we went in during the afternoon and bought ourselves a new radio. It is a utility and cost £12-12-0 but it is good to have one and get all the latest war news.
I was glad to hear Mrs Stevenson is getting on OK. I shall probably write if I can find time but I do not know what to write about.
Last week all the water on the station was frozen up and we had to queue up in the mess to wash but now they have managed to unfreeze one or two taps our site so its not so bad.
We are still waiting for the
[page break]
photographs from Lincoln but I am waiting for the copies of some photographs we had taken on Christmas day to come through. They are quite good especially the one of the whole crew
I guess that all for now
Remember me to all
Your loving son
Lewis.
