Three items. An oral history interview with Bill Violett (1921 - 2018, 1322169, Royal Air Force) and two photographs. He served as a wireless operator / air gunner on Lancasters flying from RAF Kirmington. He was shot down in May 1944 and evaded.

Warrant Officer Bill Viollet was born in Reigate in Surrey in 1921, the second oldest of 4 boys. His brother Bob joined the Royal Air Force and Bill wanted to follow him into the service.
