Description

RAF Glatton was located in Huntingdonshire, 8 miles (13 kms) south of Peterborough.

It opened in January 1944 and used by the United States Army Air Force station for B-17s of the Eighth Air Force until June 1945. Some repatriated personnel were flown from Italy to RAF Glatton as part of Operation Dodge. The site is now Peterborough Business Airport.
