Description

RAF Pershore was a Bomber Command training station located in Worcestershire, 8 miles (13 kms) south-east of Worcester.

It was a pre-war civilian flying school but was requisitioned and opened as RAF Pershore in April 1941. 23 Operational Training Unit, equipped with Wellingtons, was formed in April 1941 and stayed at the station until March 1944. Closed by the RAF in 1978 the site is now Throckmorton Airfield.
