Dear Folks, I am well as can be expected I hope all at home are well also. Received 2 parcels this week. Thank Miss [indecipherable word] & Office for the cigs, they are a most enjoyable cigarette. The heat has been terrific and yet glorious, much too good to be in Germany.

Never mind I hope to be home soon. I have met some chaps From Arlesely [sic], Baldock and Datchworth. Anyway time slips away I have been here nearly 7 months now, and I do get bored with the same scenery.

Violet Smith has written several times. She wants to send a photo. Tell her she can send it Inside an ordinary envelope addressed properly. Well Sweethearts, the mail is coming thro’ OK. Cheer Up & Smile.
