Dear John we hope you are keeping well as we all are here we have sent you a clothing parcel and 1/2 lb tobacco and we are sending fags every week Jean has sent you a photo of herself and we are sending one of ourselves & lastly as we have to wait our turn, we should very much like one of you we have been looking for one for months Jean K. & Luc her husband are on leave and they wish to be Remembered to you and hope to see you soon, we had a Xmas card from Alf your old Pal Noah is keeping OK but hasn’t been home for some time he often writes to know how you are, Billie has grown quite a big boy now and getting quite a mecanic [sic], he take a great interest in his work and goes to night school, well dear boy what kind of work are you doing, we often wonder how you are getting on especially now its so cold, have you got any music where you are to help to while away the time as we know boy how fond you are of music, and we know only
