Apologises for not writing as he had been moving. Writes that he had now got all his crew and they were getting to know each other. Not flying at the moment as they had ground school first. Says he had not received parcel and had to borrow warrant officer badges. mentions that he was going out with crew for first time that evening.

Dear Mam & Dad,

Sorry I did not write before but as you see I have been busy moving. We came up here Tuesday and have been pretty busy ever since. Fish is still with me but we do not see a lot of each other as we are both busy picking crews.

I have now got all my crew and we are busy getting to know each other. My navigator is a P.O. and the rest are sergeants but we seem to be getting on O.K. and they appear to be a good bunch.

We are not flying yet as we have got to do two weeks ground school first but I shall get to know

my crew better once we do start.

I have not got the parcel yet, so I guess it is following me around, and I have had to borrow three W.O. badges from one of the W.O.s’ here.

I have not got much time tonight as I am going out with my crew for the first time.

I have quite a bit of dirty laundry so I shall probably be sending some this weekend.

I guess thats all for now.
