Dear Mam & Dad,
I got your letter today at dinner time. In my last letter I did [underlined] not [/underlined] put any money in as I could not get a P.O; but I will try & get one to put in this letter, so its alright.
I also got a letter from Rodgers this morning telling me about Uncle Charlie and he also says he is expecting to be here in Wilmslow tomorrow Saturday so I shall probably see him. If I don’t I have his home address to write to.
Sayer w[deleted]h[/deleted]ent sick this morning and

they have kept him in hospital with severe influenza and a temperature of 101⁰F & he sleeps next to me?
I think Ill go & see him this afternoon & see if he wants anything.
The other lads in our hut are University chaps but they are very ignorant with regard to air force matters, I don’t know what they’d do with out us [underlined] old [/underlined]? hands.
