Dear Lew,
Very many thanks for your letter received this morning I am sorry to say I have not had your other letter, as a matter of fact I was wondering if you would write.
Your description should enable me to recognise you anywhere although I have seen your photograph, the one taken with Les. it was very good of you both.
Well my job is quite interesting at times, sometimes things do not go to my liking. I am usually typing all day as having to apply for petrol rations for our fleet of vehicles, also all accident reports & licences etc, 1943 licences have just arrived that means another job of sorting them out for each

vehicle. I suppose I should have mentioned before that it was an office I worked in but by now you should have come to that conclusion.
My pastimes are mainly dancing & pictures which is about all for one to do in this place. I try & play the piano when I get new songs to play there are so many song hits I can never really take my choice, although “Jealousy” & “Anywhere on Earth is heaven” are the ones of the moment.
I like dancing very much and am going to one tonight (New Years Eve) with Les’ girlfriend & believe me she is a good sport. By the way do you dance?
You say you have brown wavy hair well so have I more inclined to curl that wave but I have “hazel eyes” instead of your blue ones.

Well I think I have talked enough about myself must leave some more news for my other letters.
I am afraid travelling in an airoplane [sic] would not suit me I am sick on the sea & I am sure I should be in the air, were you ever air sick? I should very much like to visit Canada I have always wanted to travel the far off countries but it is just not my luck I suppose.
About the photographs I will send along several in my next letter as some are still being developed but please send along yours as I should like one very much.
Have you had any snow over there it is very cold here & I think it will snow soon.
Les’ girl Queenie has just received some mail
