Dear Lew,

You certainly should be flying Today, the weather is perfect & I should imagine its heavenly to be air-bourne [sic] on such a lovely morning. The nearest I can get to that is taking a ride on my bike! Of course it [underlined] would [/underlined] be fun if you were able to come too, we might even make it a picnic. I found a little farm near here where I can get any amount of eggs, I wonder if its the same one you & the boys found! Its funny I haven’t seen Taff since you left,

but I nearly always get Jock on my watch so that must be the reason. He’s still working terribly hard up here, playing cards & drinking endless cups of tea! Which reminds me – excuse me while I drink mine!

Looks as if we’ll have to wait quite a while before our next date Lew, I hope it won’t be very long – at least this summer some time anyway! If you do think about flying over one day, let me know beforehand won’t you? I’m glad you like Oxon, it can’t be half as deadly as this dump & you are near civilisation at any rate.

Sorry my writing is so horrid darling, I’m writing on duty & its really a bit hectic, but

I want to send this off.

I’m going into Norwich this afternoon with two of the girls who live with me. I suppose we’ll end up at the pictures, although I think the weather really is too nice. I saw ‘Holiday Inn’ last week, it was most entertaining have you seen it?

I’ll be writing again when theres a bit more to tell you, so till then

All my love,

Jo xxxx
