Dear Ma,

I am still waiting for a letter from you Ma, and Hope it will arrive soon after this letter. I’ve met a chap by the name of W.P. Gilbert and I wonder if you can call at 38 Herewsbury [sic] Rd Droylesden [sic] and let His wife know he is in good Health and spirit. This lad know [sic] Clarkes Very well and works just opposite at Bryers Electrical Co. dad will know it. We had a Red cross Man here during the week and we are Hoping for some imProvement [sic] generally. I hope this letter finds you all in the same Very good Health it is leaving me in
