Dear Ma, Mail has been good this week. I Recieved [sic] one letter from you, two from Winnie and one from Flo Sharpe the waitress from Haytons. Things are good here just now. Today our cantine [sic] order arrived and we had a scoff of two Jam Biscuits and four Fig Bars. These six items cost us [censored words] My Pal got a Fag Parcel on Wed of 500 Rothmans so we are O.K for fags. But I wish I was more lucky with my Parcels which don’t arrives [sic] for some unknown reason. We had a treat three successive nights this week. Have under one spud per man in [censored words]. We get a full Red Cross Parcel each next week the first Since Oct. I still go to see Aurther [sic] George very often. He is in fine spirits and Health as I am myself am in, Hoping all at Home are keeping their ends, spirits, and Health in the Best. My gums are beginning to Harden so I’ll be Ready for false as soon as I land in Blighty Please Remember me to all. Drop a line to Pooles Park. I haven’t heard from them for five months now. Your Loving Son Leslie.
