Dear Ma, I have only had one letter this week, but, it was from you, with the Xmas and New Years card, and letter from Mr Johnstone enclosed. Private Parcels are arriving at this camp Very Regular but my name very, very seldom adorns any of the Parcels. Last Mon I got a book Parcel from The P.O.W Books and games Fund. (Miss C. Knolwes.). The books were Returned to Rome and I may get them back minus the Backs in eight or nine months time from the censors. A consignment of Red Cross Parcels arrived in camp today so we should get half a Parcel again next week. Since Sept we have been on this half Parcel Sceme [sic]and we don’t look as though we will get a full Parcel each again for Some time to come. The News here is good, so good only a little gets through to us. We can all feel something tense is in the air and this something, Good for us is being supressed. I am in Good Health, the Result of Sunbathing the last few days and Hope all at Home Are. My Regards to Mrs. Johnstone. Your Loving Son Leslie.
