Dear Ma,
Had two letters from you this week 30/10/42 and 9/12/42. Everything here is rosy and Red. The weather is very mild. News is Grand, we have just read the paper. Our occupation of Tripoli is in the Bulletins. We are very short of Red Cross Parcels again. The issue is one between four. Since last June we have not been completely without so it has not been too bad. I Hope Irean had a good twenty first Party. It will be some time after I get home before I will be able to eat well enough to enjoy a similar one. I am Pleased to hear all at home is well and that my old pals are doing such good work. All in this camp are cheerfully optimistic about the near future. The news received today is what we have been looking forward to since capture. Red Cross Parcels and fags are all that is needed now to put us in a placated frame of mind. I hope you are in the same good Health I’m in. Your Loving Son. Leslie.
