Dear Ma,
Well [rubber stamp] Ma, all is well at this end and I hope it is O.K. at your’s. The weather here is still good. I'm Receiving your Mail O.K. The last one from you was Dated the 25 sept. I'm sorry to Hear about Vic Hinds. Remember me to Mr & Mrs Hyde next time you see them. I have had a letter from Aunty Fanny Dated 2/10/41 and am glad to Hear all is well in Manor Rd. I've had six letters from you seven from Manor Rd and four from London. 1 from the Red cross. one Post card from Mrs Morrison and the card from I of M. I am sending a Xmas card next week so there will be nos [sic] news. Dont Worry a letter will follow. The fag situation is very discouraging we go for days without a smoke of any Kind. I must close now Ma Hoping you are in the same good Health and spirit I am in
