Dear Lewis,
I have not received any reply to [deleted] your [/deleted] my letters to you and so as my station has changed since I last wrote I might as well let you have my new address.
I do not know if you know that this station is a single engined station well you do now, my instructor at Goderich though that this type of Kite would be the best for my type of flying. This is supposed to be a bull station, they have a band on parade with us twice a day, it is more a farce than anything else, we do not even wear ties to go about camp. There is a splendid open air swimming pool in camp, which I have used nearly every night since I arrived here a week last Sunday, after spending a weekend in Ottawa after travelling over night [deleted] for [/deleted] from Goderich. We saw all the sights of the town such as they are, at a later day we hope to go round the Houses of Parliament on a conducted tour.
I have not much gen this time I have got quite a liking for Harvards, they are a lot better than the Moths we had previously. I do not know which are the best but I might as we do trips as first & second navigators in Ansons throughout the course. Because of the bad weather I have only [symbol] 8.50 flying time to date. I had my solo on Sunday since when I have made my total solo time up to [deleted] 1.20 [/deleted] 1.20, I soloed at 4.50. The main bogey here is landing on runways, we are more or less into it now but it was awkward for us, there are runways at most other E.F.T.S’s now but none at Goderich.
I have not very much time for writing just now and I [sic] was more or less intention conveying my new address I will close for now
So long
Harold
P.S. In three months if I can conquer my recognition gremlins I shall have my wings, maybe.
