Dear Ma,

I have Received your letter Dated 30/9/41 the first one I got. Boy did it cheer me up to know you are all O.K. During the last week we've had two Big Bunches of grapes an apple and a mug of wine. The Australians held thier [sic] Sports in our camp this week and it was good fun. Cigs are very scarce here but we scrape through some how. I hope you are in the Same good Health and spirit this letter is leaving me in
