Dear Man [sic] & Dad,
I got here O.K. yesterday after stopping twelve times on the York train. All the others were there on the York station.
Today [deleted word] we were all sent down to the “Accounts and told we could make an allowance so I made 1/- a day as a AC2 and 2/- a day as a L.A.C.
When we got back there was a list on the notice board which said from Sat. 4th Oct. the following names would be LAC.s. I was the eighth on the list, but it hasn’t been been [sic] confirmed yet, but I think it will be.
Rusty & Sayer have got their L.A.C. too.
Well I think that’s all. Don’t write back after Friday as we are moving.
Tell Hats & Fred I’ll write to them on Sunday.
Rember [sic] me to all,
Your loving son
Lewis
Excuse writting [sic] I’m in a hurry.
