Dear Gwen.
Well I’m back again to scribble you a note. It’s just 6:15 Tuesday evening a nice sunset with quite a high wind blowing, much like a fall evening in Canada.
Received a letter from you quite recently also one from mother. You are all in good health expect [sic] dad’s stomach trouble. I certainly hope he is able to get that remedied
No doubt you are all busy with apples now, possibly home from school to help. Canning corn should be all in by now.
I have a nice fire going to-night and the heat really feels good. Have just finished

[page break]

supper a few minutes ago.
Havent been flying for a couple of days, may be get up again to-morrow [sic]. Boys are having it pretty tough in Holland at present, was over to see them the other day.
Sent 3 photos of myself to Dora yesterday. I’m afraid I look rather sickly and pale and thin but actually I weigh 183 lbs so I’m not so thin. She will be giving you folks one when they arrive.
Hope things are going well at school with Grant and yourself. Haven’t any news to-night. I got a letter from Dora to-day sent on the 21st of Sept. Wishing you all the best and hoping to be home again soon.
Love Glenn
