Description

RAF Metheringham was a Bomber Command station located in Lincolnshire, 10 miles (16 kms) south-east of Lincoln.

It opened in October 1943 as part of 5 Group. 106 Squadron took up residence in November 1943 with Lancasters and remained until it was disbanded in February 1946. RAF Metheringham was equipped with the FIDO fog dispersal system which was installed in January 1944.
