RAF Colerne was an RAF station located 8 miles (13 kms) west of Chippenham in Wiltshire.

The station was opened in 1940, quickly transferred to Fighter Command and used during the Battle of Britain, especially focussing on night fighting with Hurricanes, Defiants and subsequently Blenheims and Beaufighters. Later more offensive squadrons later used the stations with Mosquitos. 616 Squadron, the first to use Meteors were based at RAF Colerne for a period early in 1945. In the 1950 - 1970s the station was used in a transport role since when it has became Azimghur Barracks for the Army although it is still used by the Bristol University Air Squadron.
