Notifies them that their son, Sergeant George Buchanan Thomson was missing as a result of air operations on night 12/12 September 1944 when the Lancaster aircraft in which he was the navigator set out to bomb Frankfurt was not heard from again. Does not mean he was killed and enquires were being made through Red Cross. Any information received would be passed on.
