Title

Letter to Mr and Mrs Thomson from Bob Kendall

Description

Writes to let them know that George was safe and well and on his way home. States they were liberated by the Russians on 22 April from Stalag IIIA. Notes that John (Jones?) and Barry (Howarth) were also safe and well but knew that they had heard the bad news of Norman (Overend) and Harry (Beverton) but he had now news of Spaggy (I Spagatner). He promised George would be with them soon. Comments that the pilot (Norman Overend) was a fine chap and he would do anything to have them both back. Thanks them for the comforting letter they sent to his wife while they were missing. Says he was planning to write the families of other crew members.
