Letter to Mrs Thomson from Pat Jones
Title
Letter to Mrs Thomson from Pat Jones
Description
Reports that she had been informed that Bob Kendal, the wireless operator was safely home and he had reported that her husband, John, was well and in his way home soon. They had been released by the Russians from Stalag IIIA where they had been transferred. She had also had news from another ex PoW that John was well. She was passing on Kendall's address in case the Thomson's were not in contact. Relief that the war in Europe was finally over. She writes that she had had a letter from Mrs Beverton and meant to reply. She had also written to the relatives of other crew members. Comments that John was the only local prisoner of war not to be home. Catches up with family news and gossip,
