RAF Leicester East was a station located in Leicestershire 5 miles (8 kms) east of Leicester.

The station opened in October 1943 and was used by 38 (Airborne Forces) Group. In late 1943 196 Squadron and 620 Squadron were based at the station operating Stirlings undertaking glider towing training and supply dropping and SOE agent dropping operations. 190 Squadron were based at the station from January 1944 also with Stirlings and carried out troop dropping and Horsa glider towing operations during the Normandy Campaign. In May 1944 107 (Transport) Operational Training Unit was formed at the station to train transport and glider tug crews using C-47s and Horsa gliders. The site is now Leicester Airport.
