Dear Mater and Kath,
I thought you would like to have a copy of the letter I have received from Frank. Has Nellie had one? I heard of someone who had one last Tuesday. Mine came yesterday.
As he was out of the danger area in about 10 days I should think he will soon be nearing Cape Town.
I’m afraid there won’t be a bumper mail awaiting him as all our letters will be following him. However, this afternoon I found the address of our local Soldiers, Sailors and Airmen’s Families Association and will call there to see if it is possible to send a cable to him before he has a permanent address. Mrs Bramall said they sent one to their son and it was waiting for him when he arrived, but I’m a bit dubious as she got the form from his regiment headquarters. I expect the Reg. HQ. knew the address where they would finally end up.
However, there is no harm in trying and I will call early next week.
Our ‘phone has now been put in order.
Much love to you both
From myself and Patricia.
Violet
P.S. Pat calls herself “Pussia” and Yvonne calls [sic] “Tisha”.
