20th April, 1944

Dear Mr Cass,

Thank you very much for your kind letter and sympathy. I have received untold kindnesses from friends and even people I do not know.

In regard to the Private Chattels Insurance I should like to keep the same amount insured and perhaps you will kindly let me know how much I should let you have allowing for the extra free insurance for the 'new arrival' next month and the loss of Frank's share should be [sic] be presumed killed in July next.
