My dear Ma.
I arrived back after an uneventful journey but was wondering what had become of you! I waited till the last second and then had to get on the train as it was moving! I hope the holiday hadnt been too much for you and that you were unable to come because you were not feeling well!
I thoroughly enjoyed myself and hope you did too, and considering it was a wartime Xmas we didnt do so badly for grub did we? Thank you both for your efforts and for the Xmas presents. Also convey to Karsten my
