John Henry Law was born 4th September 1924 and studied at Ashford Grammar School he began his working life in the Public Assistance Department in Ashford on 3rd February 1941, noting that he would rather be back at school rather than at work. Entries cover work, social events and occurrences, social life, swimming, and cinema. Talks about the film “The Great Dictator” (1942). Back pages list his pocket money, exam results, letters, sports results etc.
