Mrs. P.E. Muir,
26 Holcroft Rd.,
Hackney,
London.
Dear Madam,
The Council of the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund have learnt with much regret that your son is reported missing, and I am asked to convey to your [sic] their very sincere sympathy.
I am to inform you that if your missing son was making you a voluntary allotment through official channels while in the Service you should be receiving a temporary allowance at the moment from the Air Ministry which will continue for a period of 26 weeks pending further information concerning your son.
If the allowance is not being received, you should communicate immediately with the Secretary, Air Ministry, (Accts.7) Dept. O.A. Redhill, Worcester.
If, however, your missing son was contributing privately to your support, you should make application for the temporary allowance to the Air Ministry as above, forwarding at the same time proof of such assistance.
Should you be in need of some temporary assistance either now or in any time in the future, please let me know and I will arrange for our Representative to interview you at the earliest opportunity.
In the meantime, if I can help or advise in any way perhaps you will kindly write to me, otherwise please do not trouble to answer this letter.
Yours truly,
G. Inglis
for Squadron Leader,
Joint Secretary.
