Dear Ma, In my last letter I asked you to withdraw £1 one pound from the Bank and send it to Mr. J.F. JOHNSON. 12, BROWNLOW ROAD. REDHILL SURREY. from whose [sic] son I have boroughed [sic] some camp money to the aforementioned sum, on a gentlemans agreement. Bill Knight I believe has sent word home for his people to send you 10/- ten shillings. I am not certain of this however. This is a reminder in case my first letter did not arrive. The weather has been really Glorious all week. We have been Sunbathing from early morning until about six in the evening. On wed afternoon we held a Bumper open air Boxing tournament on the football Pitch many Italian civies watched from outside the wire. I believe they enjoyed the show as much as we did. They also watch our football matches which we are told, are better than their Proffessional [sic] game Played in the Big towns. I am enjoying the Best of Health and am in the highest spirits hoping you and all at home are doing the Same
Your Loving Son Leslie.
