Dear Ma,

Last Sun I got a Very nice letter from Trevor Hindle. Mr Cadman had one from Winnie and we had a good laugh. The P.S.M. Cadman means Platoon Sgt Major Cadman. Red Cross Parcels are coming in Regular now I only hope they don’t drop off again. Have you been to see Mrs Kenny of Hyde get. We went to see a Painting exhibition by Yugo-Slav officers the other day. They were worth seeing. We get a game of football each week now. And enjoy it in spite of the Heat of this Place. We Knock about in shorts only if you have them and just Pants if you haven’t. it is much hotter here than it ever is in England. I’ll be as Dark as a Negro when this summer is over. Have you heard from Air-Ministry about my Pay yet. There is quite a few manchester Boys here who I have met and we exchange news. So send me a little general news, I hope this letter finds you in the Pink of Health and Spirits as it Leaves me in Tell Norman to drop me a line or else.

Your Loving Son

Leslie
