Dear Ma,
Since my last letter I’ve Had 3 letter from London 2 from you 2 from Nellie and one from Flo sharpe at Haytons. Red Cross Parcels have run out again after a week. We have’nt had any fags for some time that is the worst Part of Prison Life. You can’t get a decent smoke. The weather has Broken here and we have’nt had snow for some time, but we get rain the same as April Showers at home. I hope everybody at home is well and Happy like I am at the moment. I have Received the snaps you sent me [deleted] t [/deleted] and the large Photo as well. We have had a couple of dances since we changed Compounds. It is’nt as Bad as we thought it would be here although we are a little crowded. We have no sport now. I Hope this letter finds you as well as it leaves me
Your loving Son
Leslie
