Dear Ma,
Well ma here we are again well and Hearty Hoping you are too. Last Wed I wrote a card to the air ministry to get my allotment to you increased by 3/- three shillings a [underlined] day [/underlined] 21/- a week. Will you Put one Pound a week in the POST OFFICE SAVINGS for me when you draw your money. In a week or two I’ll have some more sent to you in a lump sum I’ll let you know when to expect it and How much I received your New Years card today and one letter from you Nellie, Eddith [sic] and Mr. [indecipherable name] and 3 from Winnie. Will you ask winnie to Write to P.S.M. Cadman No 1871635 at this address ask her to send Him General News and be cheerful. He will be Very Grateful. Can you send me some cheap Books (Penguins 6d). I must [indecipherable word] now [deleted word]. Wishing you a Happy New Year and the Best of Health
