Dear Lewis,
Just a few lines hoping you are getting along [deleted] alring [/deleted] alright. We had a cup match last Saturday we drew 1-1 away one of our players got his ankle broke in the first 10 minutes. I scored from a penalty and then took another but he brought off a good save. We all had Saturday morning off one of our bosses died, and we all got paid for it. I went to a dance on Monday night had a real good time plenty of lotion if you no [sic] what I mean. I’m starting on

nights next week we go on 1 [inserted] week [/inserted] a month, any way its a bit more spending money and thats what I want I want something for Christmas. United and Wednesday lost on Saturday 3-2 apiece. Well I think thats about all now so I will close. My mother & dad & Gertrude whishes [sic] to be remembered to you. Well so long till I write next time.
