My darling Jean,

Thanks so much for your letter received today. I noticed the little bit about turning away from sailors, well mind you do that on Saturday, incidentally the train is 2.20 from Liverpool Street, should arrive at Bury 5.27.

Am glad the strawberries were O.K, we had some for desert [sic] tonight, they were’nt bad although not as big as the ones you had.

I received the registered letter from Dad this morning, have written a full report to my insurance company so I suppose they deal with it from now on.

Also I asked Dad if there was any news from the Council about the kitchen, shall hear something shortly I hope. I was telling Jack about the stove, he says his mother has used electric for years and thinks they’re cheaper than gas, apparently the best results are obtained by having special saucepans to fit the hotplates.

Things are not too exciting back here, we are on the lecture racket and have done a four hours cross country, tomorrow we are on again, this time formation flying; it looks as though Saturday will

be O.K. shall be looking forward to seeing you at the station.

At the moment the orderly room have no information about Lynton, shall have to hurry them up again.

Am glad you enjoyed the evening with Cath. I bet you two did talk, or did you just eat?

I’ve just received my income tax form for next year, am going to work it out after I’ve finished writing to you.

Well darling, I think that’s all at the moment, I’ve discovered Dad’s rawlplugs in the car so perhaps you could take them back, give my love to them both and I must’n [sic] not forget you, must I?

Cheerio, all my love dearest

Yours

Jack
