Hello Folks
Sunday evening 5:30 a beautiful sunny day, no rain all week over here. Mail has been quite regular again. Had a letter from Gwen and several letters from Dora, also one from mother which was posted same date as Gwen. They both came the same day so I guess air mail doesn’t make any difference.
So you are busy hoeing turnips. Root crops in this country are not so good this year, lack of moisture they claim. Are in middle of harvest over here, with most all the grain cut. I should think you would be pretty well along with harvest by now also.
I have leave again for 1 week on the 20th of August. Will be going to Wellington also will see George Werry in Trenton if every thing goes ok.
Hope dad is feeling ok and mother also. I guess the [indecipherable word] will need thinning about now. Thats an awful job, your hands get all sticky and the flies bite all the time.
I saw George and Lizz this week, came around to visit me on the station. I also gave a pint of blood for the casualties this past week.
Everything is going fine with me so don’t worry about me. Hope to be soon home by the looks of the news at present it won’t be long
[page break]
No Statesman this past week but they have been pretty regular lately.
Well there isn’t much more to say at present time. Hope Grant’s getting along ok and winning lots of ball games. I am going to church to-night and will probably go for a ride on my bicycle if we are allowed out of camp to-night. They keep us

CB most of the time, security measures, etc. Have a new bicycle, sold my old one about 5 months ago. A flashy racer this time just put a coat of light blue paint on it this past week. Am considering a motorcycle, we are allowed gass [sic] while we are on active duty over here.
Will say so long for now, wishing you all the best.
Love
Glenn
