Description
RAF North Coates (originally known as North Coates Fitties) was located in Lincolnshire, 6 miles (10 kms) south-east of Cleethorpes.

It was originally opened during World War One and in February 1940 it came under Coastal Command for the rest of the war. RAF and Fleet Air Arm units at the station used Blenheims, Beauforts, Hudsons, Hampdens, Swordfish and Ansons. In September 1942 the North Coates Strike Wing was formed at the station using Beaufighters, remaining until the end of the war.
