[Underlined] 1335989 Sergeant Kenneth Gordon HOOK, R.A.F.V.R. No.75 (N.Z.) Squadron. [/underlined]
As an air gunner, Sergeant Hook has completed many operational sorties and has at all times shown great determination to engage the enemy. This airman was involved in a serious air crash during December, 1943, of which he was the sole survivor, he himself receiving very severe injuries. Despite this, since his recovery, he has displayed great eagerness to participate again in operations. His courage and efficiency have been an example and inspiration to the remainder of the squadron.
