South African Air Force observer’s or air gunner’s log book for W G Didcote, covering the period from 15 December 1942 to 9 November 1945. Detailing his flying training, operations flown, instructor duties and duties with 90, 186, 218 and 83 Squadrons. He was stationed at SAAF Oudtshoorn, SAAF Port Alfred, RAF Millom, RAF Silverstone, RAF Wratting Common, RAF Waterbeach, RAF Witchford, RAF Chedburgh, RAF Manby, RAF Tuddenham, RAF Stradishall and RAF Coningsby. Aircraft flown in were Tutor, Botha, Anson, Oxford, Tiger Moth, Wellington, Stirling and Lancaster. He flew a total of 32 operations with 115 Squadron. His pilots on operations were Flight Sergeant Carter, Flight Sergeant Gibson, Pilot Officer Rowe-Evans, and Pilot Officer Atkin. Targets were Berlin, Leipzig, Stuttgart, Nuremberg, Laon, Aachen, Rouen, Cologne, Dusseldorf, Essen, Friedrichshafen, Chambly, Cap Gris-Nez, Courtrai, Le Mans, Duisburg, Dortmund, Trappes, Ouistreham, Lisieux, Paris, Dreux, Nantes, Le Havre, Valenciennes, L’Hey, Watten, Vaires and Nucourt. He also flew one Operation Exodus flight and one Operation Dodge flight.

He was stationed at RAF Brough (4 EFTS), RCAF Neepawa (35 EFTS), RCAF Swift Current (39 SFTS), RAF Perth (11 EFTS), RAF Feltwell (3 LFS), RAF Cambridge (22 EFTS), RAF Kidlington (20 PAFU), RAF Feltwell (1519 BAT Flt), RAF Wing (26 OTU), RAF Little Horwood (26 OTU), RAF North Luffenham (1653 HCU), RAF Tuddenham (90 Squadron), RAF Mildenhall (15 Squadron), RAF Lulsgate Bottom (7 FIS), RAF Panshangar (1 Reserve FS), RAF Lichfield (104 FRS), RAF Waddington. Aircraft flown in were Tiger Moth, Oxford, Wellington, Lancaster, Chipmunk and Lincoln. He joined operational squadron just after hostilities ceased and flew a number of Cook's Tours flights.

The colourised image is captioned '90 Sqdn Stirlings Tuddenham 1944'. Note the page caption refers to the photo as 15 Squadron although it was not based at RAF Tuddenham. Roy Briggs' flying log book for navigators, air bombers, air gunners and flight engineers
Navigators, air bombers, air gunners and flight engineers flying log book for Roy Briggs. The log book covers the period 30 December 1942 to 17 March 1947. Roy Briggs trained as a wireless operator in Great Britain. He flew four night time and daylight bombing operations and six operation Manna supply drops in April and May 1945 with 576 Squadron from RAF Fiskerton. His targets were Bremen, Cuxhaven, Heligoland and Plauen. His pilot on operations was Flying Officer Roberts. Aircraft flown were Anson, Dominie, Lancaster, Proctor, Stirling and Wellington. He also took part in Cook's tours and the repatriation of troops from Italy as part of Operation Dodge.

Flying log book for Ronald Bailey, flight engineer, covering the period from 5 May 1944 to 26 October 1946. Detailing his flying training operations flown and post war flying. He was stationed at RAF Wombelton, RAF Tholthorpe, RAF Lissett, RAF Stradishall and RAF Tuddenham. Aircraft flown in were, Halifax, Stirling and Lancaster. He flew 34 operations with 425 squadron, 22 daylight and 12 night operations. Targets were, Foret de Eawy, Biennais, Caen, Thiverny, Nucourt, Hamburg, Amay sur Seulles, Œuf-en-Ternois, Foret de Nieppe, Bois de Cassan, St Leu D’Esserent, Foret de Chantilly, La Pallice, Brussels, Kiel, Brest, Mimoyecques, Cezaimbre, Volkel, Le Havre, Castrop Rauxel, Wanne Eickel, Calais, Bottrop, Cap Gris Nez, Sterkrade and Dortmund. His pilot on operations was Pilot Officer Poirier.

Pilots flying log book two, for R E Wannop, covering the period from 22 September 1943 to 28 February 1945. Detailing his instructor duties, flying training and operations flown. He was stationed at RAF Sealand, RAF Calveley, RAF Cranage, RAF Worksop, RAF Sandtoft and RAF Tuddenham. Aircraft flown were, DH82, Oxford, Anson, Wellington, Halifax and Lancaster. He flew a total of 11 Operations with 90 Squadron, 7 Daylight and 4 night operations. Targets were, Ludwigshaven, Nuess, Krefeld, Saarbrucken, Duisburg, Cologne, Dortmund, Dresden, Kamen and Gelsenkirchen. The log book also contains a copy of his citation for his DFC.

R E Wannop's pilot's flying log book. Three
Pilot's flying log book number three for R E Wannop, covering the period from 1 March 1945 to 9 November 1945. Detailing his operations flown and post was flying duties. He was stationed at RAF Tuddenham and RAF Feltwell. Aircraft flown was Lancaster. He flew 11 operations, bringing his total to 22 operations with 90 Squadron. Targets were, Kamen, Wanne-Eickel, Gelsenkirchen, Hattingen, Munster, Wesel, Hollendorf, Berlin, Heligoland, Munich and Regensburg. He also flew 2 Operation Manna operations to The Hague, and 7 Operations Exodus operations to Juvincourt. Several Cook's Tour flights are recorded. The log book also contains a newspaper clipping referring to the award of his DFC.
