Alan Farr's flying log book
Flying log book for A A Farr, air gunner, covering the period from 29 December 1943 to 6 October 1944. Detailing his flying training, operations flown and instructor duties. He was stationed at RCAF Mount Joli, RAF Church Broughton, RAF Binbrook, RAF Blyton, RAF Waltham (aka RAF Grimsby), RAF Kelstern and RAF Seighford. Aircraft flown in were, Battle, Wellington and Lancaster. He flew a total of 48 operations, 20 with 100 Squadron, 7 with 625 Squadron and 21 with 460 Squadron of which 9 were daylight. Targets were, Cologne, Hamburg, Essen, Mannheim, Nuremburg, Milan, Peenemunde, Berlin, Munich, Hannover, Hagen, Leipzig, Dusseldorf, Courtrai, Ardouval, Bois-de-Jardin, Stuttgart, Foret-de-Nieppe, Trossey-St-Maxim, Pauillac, Fontenay-le-Marmion, Aire-sur-Lys, Brunswick, Falaise, Yolkel, Stettin, Fromental, Russelheim, Vincly, Frankfurt, West Kappelle and Saarbrucken. His pilots on operations were Pilot Officer Bowden, Flight Sergeant Etchells and Flying officer Hudson. This item was sent to the IBCC Digital Archive already in digital form. Harold Yeoman’s pilot’s flying log book
Pilot’s flying log book for Harold Yeoman covering the period from 18 November 1940 to 7 November 1942. Detailing his flying training and operations flown. He was stationed at RAF Sywell (6 EFTS), RCAF Moose Jaw (32 SFTS), RAF Bassingbourn (11 OTU), RAF Binbrook (12 Squadron), RAF Moreton-in-the-Marsh (1446 Flight). Aircraft flown in were Tiger Moth, Harvard, Wellington, Anson, Defiant and Lysander. He flew a total of 14 night-time operations with 12 Squadron, targets were Cherbourg, Calais, Le Havre, Paris, Essen, Kiel, Lubeck, Cologne, but was then limited medically to non-operational flying on a ferry training unit. Medical Board 7 January 1943, Category A48 no further flying. His pilots on operations were Sergeant Potts, and Pilot Officer Cook.

Loose on the wind
Starts with a poem and then a series of stories which together form the memoirs of Harold Yeoman, an officer who served in Bomber Command during the war, initially as a pilot on Wellingtons and then as an Intelligence Officer. He relates his activities both professionally and personally during this time and recounts the many friends and colleagues he lost whilst on operations. He recalls his flying training on the Tiger Moths at Sywell, then on to Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada for further training. He was then posted to Bassingbourne O.T.U. to train to fly Wellingtons, before going to Binbrook on operational flying duties. Harold flew a number of operations before being grounded due to medical reasons. It was whilst he was grounded that his crew were reported as missing and subsequently recorded as killed in action. While waiting for his Medical Board, Harold was stationed at the Operational Training Unit at Moreton-in-the-Marsh ferrying brand new Wellingtons from Kemble and flying them to Moreton to hand over to pupil crews. He was then moved to ‘X’ Flight of the O.T.U and trained new pilots before being grounded again for medical reasons when he transferred into Intelligence for Bomber Command. He completed his R.A.F. career in Penang as an Adjutant.

W G Anderson's observer’s and air gunner’s flying log book
W.G.Anderson’s wireless operator’s flying log book covering the period from 1 March 1943 to 28 April 1944. Detailing his flying training and operations flown as wireless operator. He was stationed at RAF Yatesbury (2 RS), RAF Millom (2 OAFU), RAF Finningley (18 OTU), RAF Faldingworth (1667 HCU), RAF Hemswell and Binbrook (1 LFS) and RAF Ludford Magna (101 Squadron).
Aircraft flown in were Dominie, Proctor, Anson, Wellington, Halifax and Lancaster. Targets were Paris, Aulnoye, Rouen, Cologne, Brunswick, Munich, Essen and Friedrichshaven. He flew eight night operations with 101 Squadron and was killed in action Friedrichshaven 28 Apr 1944. His pilot on operations was Warrant Officer Noble.

Max Spence's flying log book
Navigator’s flying log book for L Spence covering the period from 25 February 1944 to 12 April 1945. Detailing his flying training and operations flown. He was stationed at RCAF Edmonton (2 AOS), RAF West Freugh (4 OAFU), RAF Hixon (30 OTU), RAF Lindholme (1656 HCU), 460 Squadron (RAF Binbrook). Aircraft flown in were Anson, Wellington and Lancaster. He flew a total of 18 night-time operations with 460 Squadron, targets were Mannheim, Wiesbaden, Politz, Dresden, Chemnitz, Dortmund, Duisburg, Pforzheim, Cologne, Nuremburg, Hanau, Bralichstrasse, mining, Total 19 operations. His pilot on operations was Pilot Officer Harrison. The book has been scribbled in with coloured crayons. This item was sent to the IBCC Digital Archive already in digital form. No better quality copies are available.

Observer’s and air gunner’s flying log book for D Phillips, navigator, covering the period from 16 September 1943 to 7 September 1945. Detailing his flying training and operations flown. He was stationed at SAAF Queenstown, RAF Moreton Valance, RAF Hixon, RAF Lindholme, RAF Hemswell and RAF Binbrook. Aircraft flown in were Anson, Wellington, Halifax, Lancaster and Dakota. He flew a total of 30 operations with 460 squadron, 7 daylight and 23 night operations. Targets were Aschaffenburg, Dortmund, Merseburg, Essen, Ulm, Pomeranian Bay, Munchen-Gladbach, Buer (Gelsenkirchen), Nuremberg, Wiesbaden, Bottrop, Chemnitz, Kattegat, Duisburg, Pforzheim, Mannheim, Cologne, Dessau, Kassel, Herne, Oslo Fjord, Hannover, Paderborn, Lutzkendorf and Kiel. His pilot on operations was Flying Officer Robert Marshall.
