His pilots on operations were Wing Commander Tait and Flight Lieutenant Sayers.

M A Niman’s RAF observer’s and air gunner’s flying log book
M A Niman’s RAF Observer’s and Air Gunner’s Flying Log Book, from 6th August 1941 to 2nd May 1945, detailing operations and instructional duties in the UK, Middle East and East Africa as a Wireless Operator/Air Gunner and “Special Operator”, including bomber transport, anti-submarine patrols and radio/radar counter-measures. The logbook starts with a note certifying flying hours (36 ‘trips’) contained in a logbook which was lost on the 16th July 1941 when a Bombay aircraft crashed into the sea at Gibraltar. It ends with a list of 31 ops flown with 10 Squadron obtained in 2002 from historical records, and a crew list. He was stationed at RAF Kemble (Overseas Aircraft Delivery Flight), RAF Heliopolis (No. 216 Bomber Transport Squadron), Wadi Gazouza/ Nanyuki (72 OTU), Kipevu, Mombasa (259 and 209 Squadrons), RAF Halfpenny Green (also known as RAF Bobbington) (No. 3 (O) AFU) and RAF Foulsham (192 Squadron). Aircraft in which flown: Bombay, Blenheim, Anson, Catalina, Short C-Class, Lodestar, Halifax and Whitley. Records a total of 14 night operations with 192 Squadron: some have no targets named, and some names are incorrectly spelled. These have been corrected where necessary by reference to the squadron ORB. Targets in Germany are: Augsburg, Bremen, Bremerhaven, Flensburg, Hamburg, Harburg, Kiel, Ladbergen, Langendreer, Nuremberg, Plauen and Stade. His pilots on operations were Flight Sergeant D T Witt, Squadron Leader K F Ferguson, Sergeant P Hickling, Pilot Officer Williams and Wing Commander V B Bennett, Flight Lieutenant Ford, Flying Officer Gray, Flying Officer Gilmour, Flight Lieutenant Helyer, Flight Lieutenant Dimant, Flying Officer Dutton, Flying Officer Field, Wing Commander Donaldson, and Flight Lieutenant Payne.<br /><br /><span data-contrast="auto" xml:lang="EN-GB" lang="EN-GB" class="TextRun SCXW246595534 BCX0"><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW246595534 BCX0">This item was sent to the IBCC Digital Archive already in digital form. Targets were, La Rochelle, Koln, Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg, Turin, Mannheim, Nurnberg, Peenemunde, Leverkusen, Gladbach, Berlin, Hanover and Dusseldorf. His pilot on operations was Warrant Officer Walker. The log book also contains newspaper clippings and articles relating to the operation on which the awards were made.

His pilots on operations were Flight Lieutenant Henderson, Flight Lieutenant Strachan, Flying Officer Crofts and Flight Lieutenant Halnan. The operations are annotated and the log book includes maps and newspaper cuttings. It also includes Operation Manna, Exodus, Dodge and Cooks tours.

Herbert O'Hara's South African Air Force observers or air gunners log book
Log book for Sergeant Herbert O'Hara from 7 November 1942 to 9 September 1962. He was stationed with 12 Squadron at RAF Wickenby, where he flew Lancasters as navigator. The log book shows 14 night operations over France and Germany, with one to Poland. Targets were: Augsburg, Aulnoye, Berlin, Cologne, Dusseldorf, Essen, Frankfurt, Friedrichshafen, Gdynia, Karlsruhe, Lyon, Mailly-le-Camp, Mantenon, Stuttgart. His pilot on operations was Flying Officer Maxwell. The log book is noted DID NOT RETURN beside the last operational flight. It is subsequently noted in Sgt O'Hara's hand that his aircraft was shot down leaving the vicinity of Mailley-le-Camp on 3 May 1944, abandoned by the crew, and that he was in France for 4 months before being liberated and flown home by the Air Transport Auxillary on 3 September 1944. He was subsequently posted to Advanced Flying Units and Flying Schools until finishing in 1962.

Royal Canadian Air Force observer’s and air gunner’s log book for Sergeant Albert Victor Ansell from 25 October 1942 to 30 April 1943. Detailing his flying training and operations flown. He was stationed at Pan American Airways navigation school Miami, RAF Halfpenny Green (Bobbington), RAF Cottesmore, RAF Winthorpe and RAF Scampton. Aircraft flown in were, Commodore, Anson, Wellington, Manchester and Lancaster. He trained as a navigator in the United States and flew three operations with 57 Squadron from RAF Scampton in April 1943. Targets were, Duisburg, Ameland and lost on an operation to Essen. His pilot on operations was Sergeant Glotham. Stamped ‘Failed to return, death presumed 30 April 1943’.
