There are aerial views of Windsor and Buckingham Palace, Harrow aircraft, plus social and service events. Post-war he was transferred to Singapore via India and Burma. The album reflects his social life with occasional photograph of his service activities at RAF Seletar. His return to UK via Bombay at the time of Indian independence is recorded, followed by scenic shots round Wick in Scotland. Finally there are some photographs of Angkor Thom in Cambodia. Article about Wing Commander Cotton who was instrumental in the setting up of the RAF photographic unit. He was eventually asked to resign from the RAF and subsequently tried to join the Navy which was cancelled due to air ministry pressure. Recalls that Cotton originally obtain air reconnaissance of Germany as a civilian at the beginning of the war.

Air Mail newspaper. On the left a biography of Sidney Cotton highlighting pioneering work on air reconnaissance. Main article covers the war time career of Sidney Cotton and his air photographs of Germany obtained prewar as a civilian. Goes on to describe the formation of the Sidcot unit with a Spitfire for reconnaissance work which was then transferred to the navy and Cotton's subsequent fight to reverse this. Contains three photographs. 1- Sidney Cotton as a wing commander with Air Chief Marshall Sir Arthur Barrett. 2 - Sidney Cotton's Lockheed 12 a, 3 - a DH 14 a in which Sidney Cotton hoped to be the first man to fly from Britain to Australia.

There are aerial views of Windsor and Buckingham Palace, Harrow aircraft, plus social and service events. Post-war he was transferred to Singapore via India and Burma. The album reflects his social life with occasional photograph of his service activities at RAF Seletar. His return to UK via Bombay at the time of Indian independence is recorded, followed by scenic shots round Wick in Scotland. Finally there are some photographs of Angkor Thom in Cambodia. The album contains a varied collection of photographs taken whilst based at RAF Feltwell from 1937 onwards. There are aerial views of Windsor and Buckingham Palace, Harrow aircraft, plus social and service events. Post-war he was transferred to Singapore via India and Burma. The album reflects his social life with occasional photograph of his service activities at RAF Seletar. His return to UK via Bombay at the time of Indian independence is recorded, followed by scenic shots round Wick in Scotland. Finally there are some photographs of Angkor Thom in Cambodia. The album contains a varied collection of photographs taken whilst based at RAF Feltwell from 1937 onwards. There are aerial views of Windsor and Buckingham Palace, Harrow aircraft, plus social and service events. Post-war he was transferred to Singapore via India and Burma. The album reflects his social life with occasional photograph of his service activities at RAF Seletar. His return to UK via Bombay at the time of Indian independence is recorded, followed by scenic shots round Wick in Scotland. Finally there are some photographs of Angkor Thom in Cambodia.
