Felmersham Dec. 12
Darling Johnnie, I have just had your wire saying “Readmitted Hospital” & am eagerly awaiting more detailed news of what this means. If they can really do something more for you, of course I am very glad indeed, good luck to them, I do hope it won't interfere with our Christmas plans tho' it may curtail the trip. It sounds as tho' your demobilisation will be further postponed anyway. I can't wait to hear all about it. I have just written a Christmas letter to Leslie, as it said on the radio that today was the latest day for posting. I suppose you will tell me if I must put off the Freemans on Sunday. I should think its likely. I wonder if they are putting you back to bed, or just giving you treatment for your knees. I can imagine the hospital may not be as comfortable as it was in summer. Give my regards to the nurses I met there, & Pack if he's still there.
I hope to get your letter tomorrow. Once came from your father yesterday enclosing a cheque for £15 made out to you. Shall we be able to cash it or ought we to ask him to make it out to me? Also a letter from Peter with gen. about the electrical stuff he's sending, which I'll keep for you. Shall I acknowledge ASV or will you? All my love, dear, Ursula.
